Hi! I am contacting creators/developers on behalf of a graduate researcher studying how Lovecraft is represented in games. If you have time to complete a 10-minute survey about Grim Symphony, please send a message to: masonsmith [at] tamu [dot] edu.
I wish the birds didn't attack while I was trying to read the tutorial notes. Also the game goes gray and I can't restart when I die. This game was really cool in concept and I would have liked to go further but having to close and reopen the game just to start over really annoyed me.
Hello we're sorry to hear that you could not complete the game because of the issues. We were unfortunately unable to reproduce the bug, so I am not sure what went wrong. We'll release a bug fix patch soon. Thank you for playing and your feedback!
It might be an issue with my computer as its running Windows 7.
Hey! Cool game.
A couple points of feedback:
Its really really difficult to find good situations to cast the beams in- usually standing still for so long kills me.
Its also pretty difficult to tell if im doing the beam inputs corrrectly or not. Well I suppose eventually you either get a beam or dont, but I think itd be nice if there was more immediate visual feedback on your ability to conform to the rhythm. Ditto for reloading (though reloading is closer- it does tell you pretty quickly that you got it wrong). In general im a bit confused about what 'on beat' means- quarter notes? whole notes? Itd be cool to have some pulsing UI element that showed you when the beat was on and off.
